This insight will provide valuable information as we begin scoping NACEL 2027. Your input is extremely valuable.

DIT Updates
On the Dashboard view, users may now see their January - March 2026 data. In addition, users may now see ongoing 2026 Patient and Carer Tool metrics in a table to match the 2025 and 2024 tabs.

On the Dashboard view, users may now see their January - March 2026 data. In addition, users may now see ongoing 2026 Patient and Carer Tool metrics in a table to match the 2025 and 2024 tabs. As a reminder, the Dashboard view is updated quarterly, so new and amended data will not show until the next quarter. Users may view new and amended data on the Overview tab which is updated at least once a week.
DIT Guidance and Admin Task
The NACEL Team will be updating the DIT guidance to better reflect the procedure of how site Admins can get users onto the site to view the data. Site Admins will soon receive an email with a list of current pending and unverified accounts. We ask that site Admins keep an eye out for this incoming email and instructions.

2025 Good Practice Compendium Now Uploaded!
For NACEL 2024, 68 case studies were selected to showcase good work based on the narrative that was submitted from hospitals to the NACEL Hospital/Site Overview.
For NACEL 2024, 68 case studies were selected to showcase good work based on the narrative that was submitted from hospitals to the NACEL Hospital/Site Overview. Now for NACEL 2025, a further 69 case studies were selected to be added to this compendium and they are now available on the Good Practice Compendium.
All Project Leads and Deputy Project Leads received email notification on 27th April 2026 of their selection alongside certificates for this achievement. Organisations have been notified that an opt-out approach will be in place for sharing the Project Lead's name and email with colleagues who request and wish to connect regarding the work. Project Leads have until 28th May 2026 to reach out to the NACEL helpline and opt-out.

Are you aware of the upcoming public release of hospital level data on the Patient and Carer Tool in August 2026.Join us for a QI webinar webinar looking at how to improve patient and carer experience in preparation for the release of the Patient and Carer Tool, showcasing a subset of NACEL data to the public. Guest speakers will be joining the NACEL Team. This live webinar is for healthcare professionals only but will be available for public view on the website after the event. This session will take place on Thursday, 18th June 12-1:30pm via Teams
Patient and Carer Tool Drop In Sessions
In 2025, a newly developed Patient and Carer Tool was developed alongside a group of bereaved relatives, showcasing some of the NACEL data to the public, by region or country.
In 2026, the tool will be redeveloped and will allow the public to see NACEL data for their local hospital. This means that your patients and their loved ones, amongst others, will be able to view some of your data via the NACEL website, a publicly available platform.
Join us for a drop in session focusing on Phase 2 of the Public Facing Tool which will take place on Tuesday, 2nd June 2026, 12:00-13:00 and Tuesday, 12:30-13:30, 21st July 2026 via Microsoft Teams. Register below:
